The Top Films of 2007

As you all know, I (Dan) love movies. My favorite thing to do is watch a movie, and as a result, I watch a lot of them. At the beginning of every year, I compile a list of my favorite movies that I've seen the previous year. There isn't a whole lot of consistency in the type of movies included, but they are all movies that I either was really impressed by or just loved to watch. I know it's April and that I should have had this list completed a couple of months ago, but I've been busy with school, work, and trying to watch the ones I missed. So without further delay, here they are in order:

1. Atonement
2. The Kite Runner
3. Into the Wild
4. Michael Clayton
5. The Bourne Ultimatum
6. Transformers
7. Dan In Real Life
8. 3:10 To Yuma
9. No Country For Old Men
10. Juno

Now I always make a list of runners-up, so here they are in order: Gone Baby Gone, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Freedom Writers, Zodiac, Enchanted, The Kingdom, Live Free Or Die Hard, Rendition, Hot Fuzz, and Breach.

Along with a best list, there are also some stinkers that I unfortunately sat through, so here they are in order:

1. The Host
2. Georgia Rule
3. The Last Legion
4. I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry
5. Good Luck Chuck
6. The Heartbreak Kid
7. Premonition
8. Pathfinder
9. Mr. Brooks
10. Evening

There you have it, and I welcome your comments/criticisms of my choices. There are still about four or five movies I have yet to see that could also mix any of these lists up.

I think you should replace "Michael Clayton" with "Gone Baby Gone" and add "Michael Clayton" to the bad list. Just my opinion. I also really liked "Live Free or Die Hard". "The Bourne Ultimadum" is a given. The only movie out of the bad movies list that I've seen is "Premonition" and I agree that it was a waste, but I was stuck on a plane.

Okay when do you find the time to watch all these movies?? Just wait until you a few little ones!!! It is sad to say I have only seen a few. I just watched Atonement and it bothered me.....I can see why it won but it still bothered me. Maybe you should be a movie critic.........you would an awesome one!

I absolutely agree with your 'best' and 'worst' movies...we need to all get together and watch one sometime (hint, hint):).

I agree with your top ten, but I haven't seen or even heard of Kite Runner. I'm putting it on my Netflix list right away! I have to say Evening had a huge build-up and was the biggest disappointment of 2007 and quite possibly the last century. Chuck/Larry was bad too. We are, like, SO on the same flick-page.
