Dang shoes...

I'm an awful mom. I have never really had Harrison wear shoes. I either have him in socks or show off his cute little feet. But now he is getting close to walking and winter is coming, so I need to get Harrison some shoes. I have looked at different stores and I have NO clue on what size to get Harrison. It's so confusing??? Am I the only mother alive who thinks it's hard to buy shoes for my little guy? I think Harrison might/maybe be a size 4? I can find clothes just fine, but for some odd reason finding the right size shoe is STRESSING me out!

Just go to Stride Rite and have him fitted. They will tell you exactly what size he is, and will probably try to sell you some shoes also. (Stride Rite shoes are a mini fortune!) That way you know what size to buy from online retailers.

I usually just try some shoes on at the store (Target has had some cute soft-bottomed shoes in the past, either by the regular shoes or in the baby section--they look a lot like Pediped). I try to leave a little room for growth at the toe and I always make sure they STAY ON! Sometimes you can't tighten them enough. Also, I just found this website--real leather soft shoes for $12.95. And it's some mom who lives in Kaysville. Check it out: www.giggletoes.com.

By the way, you're not an awful mom for not having Harrison wear shoes. . .I don't think Ashley really owned any shoes until she was walking. I only started getting shoes for the babies if they were wearing real pants instead of a sleep and play and pulled their socks off (so I was worried they'd freeze outside). Mostly they're for looks until they start to pull up and are learning to walk. You are a great mom, Patrice!

Addison really hasn't wore socks or shoes at all. I went and bought her some and her feet are a size 2 which are way small but at least they stay on better then a size. I don't know if I like shoes because I feel like I am putting them on all day long. Good luck finding shoes~ You are a wonderful mom!

I still can't get Evan's shoe size right, even if she's with me. I've learned to bring Mike along.
