I finally got up the courage and went to the haircut place, or salon if you will, flashed this photo, and said to the stylist that I wanted to look as tough and awesome as this guy who obviously is a graduate of Princeton, Harvard, or Yale because of the way his hair has been cut and styled. And although I have settled for an education from a non-Ivy League school, I thought maybe I could fool some people with my snazzy haircut.
So after the most excruciating fifteen minutes of scissors snipping and electric clippers buzzing intermixed with some light conversation, I was finally finished.
Whew!!
I felt so relieved that the hard part was over, and the only pain I experienced was the grief at seeing all of my beautiful golden locks hitting the floor and the little apron the stylist put on me so the hair didn't get all over my clothes (wasn't that nice of her?).
So the end result comes to this:

Now don't be fooled by the obvious similarities in our two looks. There are some major differences between myself and the hot-looking model above. For one, I did NOT graduate from an Ivy League school, although my haircut would make you think otherwise. And two, the model is clearly wearing a sport coat and I am not. Crazy how well the stylist did in recreating this most awesome haircut!!
I am so excited to hear what everyone thinks about it, especially since so many of you commented on how cute Patrice looked. I'm sure there are those of you out there thinking, "Hmm.. This cut doesn't look any different than the last one." But to me, it's WAY different because the last "stylist" (if you can even call her that) left like 17 or 18 hairs at different lengths than the rest. You know, your basic butcher with scissors instead of a meat cleaver, although I would swear that's what was used last time. And don't worry if you think that it doesn't suit me, I look way hotter in person.

So is this the "Daddy do"? Looks very debonair! I know how hard it is to put yourself out there for a new look. I am proud of you!
Aunt Cathy
I think you've got Ivy League written all over that new do.
Looks good!! You always need to change things up every once in a while!! It looks like the haircut I just gave Brenden to start school (maybe he will go to an Ivy League school)
Dan your hair looks way cute!!!! Great new look for fall and becoming a Dad.
looks good!
I don't think it looks any different than any other haircut you have ever had (not that I have seen many of them). It is quite ordinary to tell you the truth. Men with your hairstyle just can't get amazing haircuts there is no such thing, they always just look the same because your hair is so short in the first place. If I was there, you would have to tell me you got a haircut or I probably wouldn't notice. I bet the nudes of Croatia would like it though...
Dan you are awsome no matter what haircut you've got! You have got so much going for you it is crazy! New hair, New Baby on the way, great wife, etc.... need I go on?
loving it!!! I usually cut Jordan's hair for him when he starts to look, well....a little less attractive and a little more scruffy, but it never comes out that nice!
Umm...Dan isnt this the SAME haircut you have been getting for sometime now?? Now don't get me wrong I am liking the new do...but just looks a little familar! ;)
You make me laugh! Looks good Dan!
The new 'do is killer Dan. That model's got nothin' on you!
Wow. It is almost like the transition from Clark Kent into Superman. Seriously, you are on to something there. And I am doubly proud of you for taking in a picture of a model to show a stylist! Props.
