Birthday Dan

Yesterday was Dan's birthday. I was hinting (BIG TIME) to Dan to blog about his birthday, but we shall see. This morning he told me that it was the best birthday ever. Happy 28th Birthday Dan!

Wednesday night we stayed at the Armstrong Mansion Bed & Breakfast. We checked in after work and basked in our large suite that we got for FREE. It was a huge suite complete with a living area, kitchen, two plasma TVs and Dan's favorite, a KING size bed. We had dinner at Red Robin and Dan got a free burger for being the birthday boy. Our server also gave Dan a HUGE piece of mountain high mud pie. We were so full, so we had a few bites and took that with us. Dinner was delicious. Then we headed back to our B&B and watched some Olympics and relaxed. It was nice to get away.

Thursday was Dan's birthday, so that morning we slept in, had a great breakfast at our B&B, and went to Hollywood Video for Dan to get his free birthday rental. Of course Dan had to get a free movie...this is Dan we are talking about. Then we headed to the movie theater and we saw the movie WALL-E. Dan really wanted to see it and he really liked it. After the movie we went to the Davis County Fair and I got a diaper bag for $5.00. I have been anxious to get one and finally got it. (Thanks Emilee for telling me that they were at the fair, and also thanks to Kelli and Pam for telling me about the cool purse/diaper bag). We picked up some fair food and headed back home. Oh, this I found to be interesting...the fair has jail inmates clean up the trash on the fairgrounds. I was shocked to see so many inmates working. Later, I went to get may hair cut and Dan went to another Hollywood Video to get another birthday movie. My mom came over to give Dan his birthday gifts. He got some movies, shirts, and pants. Dan REALLY wanted to get a pedicure for his birthday (he might kill me for telling everyone this, but he does love to pamper his feet), so we went and got pedicures. It felt so nice to have someone rub my feet...ahhhh! I was trying to get Dan to paint his toe nails, but he wouldn't. Haha! Dan's parents joined us for dinner at Firehouse Pizza. We had a nice dinner with them and lastly, we went to a local playhouse theater. Our friends Chris and April are in the play and gave us tickets. The play is called Pirated, it is comedy about making a movie version of the play Pirates of Penzance. They did a great job and it was fun seeing their many talents. It was a fun filled day and I am so glad that Dan had a great birthday! He deserves to be KING for the day!

***So sad! I didn't have my camera with me to take ANY pictures, tears***
