HELP!!!
HELP!!! Dan and I can't decide what crib set to buy. I know that it's a VERY important decision...haha, but we can't decide which set we like better. Dan of course likes the all boy sports theme, but I being Miss Practical like the ABC's and think we can use the set again if our next baby is a girl. Decisions, decisions? Dan asked me the other day, "do you want our boy to be a jock or an intellect?" I just laughed! So I am asking for y'alls help...which set do you like?

I LOVE THE ABC'S! I think that is way cute! It will teach them early! Yeah! I hope you guys come to a decision before your baby boy comes! =) Good luck!
I do have to agree on the ABC set! Both are really cute but you are right, when spending that much, you'd like to get more use out of it than just one kid.
Sports...This is a no brainer. A man (in this case boy) goes to school to study and learn. When he's at home in his place of comfort he needs his sports. And if the next one is a girl, you can just customize it or use it and plan for the WNBA :-).
Congratulations by the way. You two are gonna be great parents.
PS: This is Jake-Bobby. Take my suggestion for what it's worth being that I have no children of my own.
Personally I'm all for the ABC's. Either one will be cute though!
Ha.. Jake and I think alike :) I told him about it.. and he agreed with me. Granted, I don't agree with everything he said, haha! Sorry Patrice, Dan wins!

I would have to go with the sports! it's your first you have to spoil them a little and dream big of a Utah football player! haha
I cast my vote for the ABC set. Literacy can be established from the very get go, he will recognize those lovely shapes sooner, I can just feel it. Patrice if you need a more "grad school" sounding literacy argument point, just let me know! I am full of them! Darlene

They're both cute...but I'd go with the ABC's. I like the brights...and so do babies! Tamson
The sports one because you have a boy. The other one seems to have too many girl colors in it. It's WAY cute, but if it was more bright colors, rather than pastels I would say the ABC one. Beth
Being that I am a jockett….I go with the sports décor. Your next child is going to be a girl so you will not want to use either one. I vote for door # 2. Marlene
I really like the sports theme but being practical, the abc,s would be the best. Not everyone can like sports and be intelligent like the Kelly's. Grandpa Bryce

I like the ABC set the best. I think the colors are more stimulating for baby (and for me too!). Plus you know some kids don’t like sports, but all kids seem to really like to learn their ABC and see pictures of animals. Dan can always accent with sports stuff. Judy
Its proven that bright colors stimulate a baby's brain activity and the ABC theme can go for girls or boys. Sorry Dan, I'm with Patrice.....and yes, I owe you $5. lol. Love to you both…Grandma Nancy
I would have to go with the ABC's because you can use them with a boy or a girl. When I was pregnant with Katy I got a Baby Mickey and Minnie Crib set. Katy never got attached to the blanket that went with the crib set she had a different favorite blanket but we used the minnie and mickey set with Alec and he got attached to the minnie and mickey blanket and he still sleeps with it still!

They are both cute, but don't decide on the reason that you may have a girl someday, trust me on that one-ha ha!!
Spoil the little guy, you will probably do a different thing for the next baby. Brenden was Jungle Animals, Bridger was Giraffes (so we could use the things Brenden had with giraffes on them), and Bracken now has stripes, girrafes and Jungle animals lol.
I'm with Patti on this one - look at what happened with us - we had all girls and still did something a little bit different for each one. I like the sports set but it definitely needs a little red added to it! :D)
Go ahead and spoil him rotten - you should do it while you can!

Well..to be honest, I like the sports one best. I understand the practicality of buying neutral things for future little ones, but in this case, the ABCs look a little to girly for me to use with a boy.
It doesn't really matter which one you get because you will want a new one regardless. That may not be practical, but you only live once! Flip a coin.

Oby and I cast our vote for the sports set. Harrison's love of ABC's will come and go, but his love of the games will be eternal. Definitely the sports one.
